Many of your TilBuci creations will use text. Now, we will learn the basics about this subject.
Start by opening your test movie. This time, let’s create a new scene.
Now, in the left menu, go to Media > Paragraph to display the text inclusion window.
Type or paste your text. After that, click on the Set paragraph button to add it to the stage.
Your text has been added to the stage. You can select it like you do other images, and also adjust properties like position and size.
The size of the text refers to the area it can fill, not the font size.
To adjust the font size and other text properties, click + next to Text in the right menu.
The first adjustment is the font used, which can be selected from some options that are already built into TilBuci, but you can include your own.
If the font is only used in the current movie, go to Movie > Properties in the left menu and look for the Fonts tab.
Click the Select .woff2 file button to select the font you want to use. Use fonts in WOFF2 format, an Internet standard.
Adjust your font name if necessary and click Upload font to send it.
Once sent, it will be ready to be used in your movie.
If your font is used in several movies, go to Setup in the left menu, access the Text fonts tab and do the same process.
Returning to editing your scene, select the desired font and its size.
You can adjust other properties such as line spacing and paragraph alignment.
The last property to adjust is the background color. If left blank, it will be transparent, but you can indicate a color if you want.
Finally, remember that texts behave like any other images and can be adjusted and considered in transition animations.
In this guide you learned the basics of using texts. Continue following the tips to improve your knowledge about TilBuci.
